Restaurant Rescue Project: Fall 2019
The Restaurant Rescue Project at Yale is a YHHAP member organization which allocates unsellable but quality food to local communities of need rather than throwing it away, in efforts of achieving food justice and sustainability together. So far, we have donated over 7500 pounds of food since our inception in January 2017. We hope you will join our mission for food equality!
We secure local partnerships with restaurants such as Four Flours, Claire's Corner Copia, and Donut Crazy — they donate their excess goods to us and volunteers run donations from the food source to halfway houses/soup kitchens/shelters. The project is a ~30 min/week commitment, and you can take as many runs as you please!
