Tennessee For All, a coalition of labor, faith and community groups, is hosting an Election Defense Workshop in Memphis on Saturday, September 26 from 9AM-5PM. We hope for EVERYONE to come to our first day of training because it is vital that workers, community members, and neighbors across our organizations know what could happen come Election Day and what we will do if authoritarians try to rig our elections. We will also have a training on Sunday, September 27 from 9AM-5PM that is focused on how we enforce hands off our vote together!

We know the threats are alive and real, and this is our moment to come together and plan for whats to come whether that's interfering if federal agents are at the polls , cancelling of mail in ballots, officials refusing to count ballots, etc. We are bringing together organizations and leaders from different paths of life to come together for this unique moment. The training is in two parts over two days as follows:
WE NEED YOU on Saturday, Sept. 26 + 9AM-5PM : We will run through 2-3 likely scenarios we could experience in our community before, during, or after the election and role play exactly how each piece could unfold and then use debriefs to discover what we need to shift or build between now and the election so that we can more effectively counter the threat.
We will also hold a training on Sunday, September 27 from 9AM-5PM that is focused on what we do once red lines ARE crossed. It will be focused on how we develop our skills in mass non-cooperation to respond swiftly and decisively to election interference and keep hands off our vote. Memphis changed the world when sanitation workers stood up in protest to their atrocious working conditions through non-violent direct action and we must be ready to do the same when authoritarians try to hold onto power.
