Start at the center of the shoulder and measure straight down to the point till where you want your blouse. While taking this measurement make sure that the tape passes over the center of the bust.

Take this measurement over the fullest part of the bust and across the widest part of the back. The measuring tape should go horizontally all around your body

To locate your waistline, tie a narrow string around the waist and let it settle into the natural waistline as you bend to the left and to the right. Take the measurement along the string line.

This measure has to be taken by placing the tip of the tape one any one shoulder point and stretching it straight from the back to the other shoulder point. Point means the point where you shoulder meets you arm joint.

Measure from one neck joint to the other side and choose how wide you would like the neck of the blouse to be.

Start from the top of the shoulder, that is your neck joint, and measure till your cleavage, to the point where you want your blouse neck to end.

Measure from the neck joint to the center of your back and choose how deep you would like the back of the blouse to be.

The sleeve length of a blouse is usually a matter of personal taste and comfort level. For those of you who are getting a sleeveless blouse, you can skip this step. Start measuring from the edge of the shoulder and measure down the arm until you have the

For this keep your arms relaxed. Place the tape on the middle of your biceps, take it round your relaxed arm and complete the circle.

Place the tip of the tape on any side of your waist or hipbone, depending on where you wear you lehnga or saree. Then let it fall down straight. Hold it slightly above your ankles.

This is for the petticoat/lehnga. Place the tape below the navel and just above you hipbone or waist turn it straight round the back and complete the circle.

This is similar to “Around Waist”, but this time place the tape on the upper part of the hip, that is slightly below the hip bone and make a complete circle.

Stand with your feet slightly apart, back straight and set against a wall. Place the tip of the tape on the floor at your heel and stretch it to the top of your head.
