The Steering Committee is a community group that will guide the process of developing a Community Emissions Reduction Plan to address air quality and environmental justice issues in East Oakland. The Air District is responsible for convening a Community Steering Committee using an open and transparent process and co-developing the Plan with the Steering Committee. The final Community Steering Committee membership should reflect the diverse makeup of East Oakland and should bring together an inclusive group with a range of knowledge, lived experience and expertise.
