Plimoth Patuxet Research Request Form
Plimoth Patuxet supports education and research about the 17th century in New England, how later generations perceived the Mayflower story, as well as the cultural survival of Northeast Indigenous communities. To that end, the Collections Department stewards Original 17th-century materials, archaeological collections, 19th-and 20th-century Pilgrim memorabilia, and archival holdings. If you would like to arrange a visit with collections staff or are seeking information about collections, please complete the following research request form. The answers that you provide on this form will help us determine how best to aid in your research at Plimoth Patuxet Museums. Because of the volume of requests, please allow at least six weeks notice to schedule your appointment.

1. your overall research goals and/or major research questions to investigate
2. your goals for your appointment including collections you are interested in working with and specifically how visiting these collections in person (versus viewing them digitally) will advance your research goals

4. other institutions and/or collections being consulted as part of your research

6. and any other information that the curatorial staff might find useful in evaluating your request
