Thank you for your interest in partnering with Rock The Island Festival as a Nonprofit-Ministry Partner. Plans for 2019 are well underway and we are very excited about some of the new elements that will be introduced this year.
Our purpose in partnering with nonprofit ministries is to give you an opportunity to connect with the community and raise awareness of your ministry. This is an opportunity for those in the community to be made aware of what you do. This is not a fundraising opportunity. Fundraising or sales of any products are not permitted at the festival.
We would like for our nonprofit ministry tents to have some kind of community activity that adds to the day. Something the fans can engage in like in the past years we had people stuff bags for people at the rescue mission. Or one of them had letter writing to soldiers. You could even do could do face painting for kids or something like that. We can not charge for these activities but we would like to have something else for our patrons to do. As we continue to grow and improve we are also in need of more commitment from our ministry partners to keep Rock The Island Festival relevant and fresh. We are encouraging you to help us. Several of these new, and old, elements could easily be adopted by your ministry. We have always encouraged ministries to be interactive and this would be a great way for you to do this.
Applications are due June 22, 2019 by midnight. We will notify you if you have been selected by June 24TH.
ABOUT ROCK THE ISLAND FESTIVAL:
Rock The Island Festival exists principally to bring glory to God and to His son, Jesus Christ. We want to love our guests as Jesus loves and make all of our guests feel welcome and safe.Put another way, we want our event to be a place where guests can find healing and hope, rather than condemnation and judgement. As such, we want the focus of our event to be on Who we are FOR, not who or what we are AGAINST. Therefore, we ask that our ministry partners refrain from displaying items that are inconsistent with this goal.Examples of items not allowed at our event include: T-shirts, banners or other printed material that judge people or behaviors, that demean people who are dealing with issues such as homosexuality, abortion, etc., or that may make our guests feel uncomfortable (e.g., “Free Hugs”).We trust that our valued vendors, sponsors and ministry & media partners will honor our wishes and use their good judgement in this regard. However, festival management reserves the irrefutable right to insist that objectionable items be removed from display.
1. WE BELIEVE the Bible, verbally and plenary inspired, is God's Word; infallible, inerrant, and authoritative in all matters of which it speaks (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21).
2. WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
3. WE BELIEVE the deity of Christ (John 10:33); his virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
