Brantford Monday After-school Class Interest Form

As part of our efforts to build community, a few families at Brantford run a co-op style after-school program on Mondays.

The aim of the program is to help children develop their inherent positive qualities that assist them to live fulfilling lives and contribute to the well-being of their community, inspired by the quotation below:

"Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom."    - Baha'i Writings

The group explores qualities such as kindness, generosity, justice, friendship, and sincerity using materials from the Ruhi Institute's curriculum for the spiritual education of children. Typical educational activities are group discussions, music, stories, art, and cooperative games.

The parent-volunteers pick up students from the school at 2pm and walk as a group to the Edmonds Youth Education Centre (108-7315 Edmonds Street), where students get picked up at 4pm.

Interested in sending your child if there is enough space in the program?

Interested in volunteering in some way to help grow this community-building effort?

Let us know below!

Our ability to accommodate more Brantford students on Mondays is dependent on having additional parents and/or Grade 6 and 7 students who would like to volunteer. This could mean simply being an extra adult in the room who can be there for supervision, or it could mean helping to lead activities - whatever you are comfortable with.
