Government Funded Hours

All children are eligible for 15 hours funded Preschool sessions from the term after their 3rd birthday. Extended 30 hour funding is available for those who are eligible. Please ensure your application is made within the application timeline to receive your funded hours code, without a valid code you will be charged in full for the term.

If you are unsure what funding you might be entitled to, please visit: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

Government Funded Hours Guide
Paid for places

Parents are welcome to pay for additional sessions outside their funded entitlement. We anticipate this being under the following scenarios and please discuss with the office if there is a different situation.

•   Children eligible for 15 hours, where parents wish the child to attend additional sessions

•   Children who are 3 years of age, but prior to the start of the following term (e.g. a child with a birthday in October may attend the Preschool from their third birthday, however the funded place will commence from the start of the following term, in this case January)

If we have availability we may be able to accommodate one off additional sessions which can be booked with a member of the Preschool team. These will be invoiced on the following terms invoice.

In this scenario the fee is £21 / session (£7 / hour).  Paid for sessions will be invoiced in advance at the beginning of each term.

Deposit to secure your child's place

We require a deposit of £50 to secure your child’s application. This payment will be credited towards your first invoice. The deposit is non-refundable should you decide to withdraw your application following confirmation of your place. We regret we are unable to accept Childcare Vouchers as payment of the deposit.

Lunch

Children may use our school lunch company (the link below) to order lunch or bring a packed lunch from home. We encourage healthy eating in school, so please provide a balanced and nutritious packed lunch without sweets and chocolate.

Please be aware, we are a nut-free school. We do not allow any product containing nuts to be brought into the Preschool.

Materials Charge

Government funding is intended to deliver 15 hours a week of funded, high-quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of snacks, materials or activities. As a result, we offer a materials charge of £20 per term. If you wish to discuss this charge, please contact the school office.

What happens next?

Please fill out the application form. When we receive this we will be in touch to confirm a place for your child.  If we are full, your child’s name will be placed on our waiting list and ordered according to our admissions criteria.

Please see our Preschool admissions policy for further information.
