"The Cognitive Costs of Environmental Racism: Myth, Science and Myopia" RSVP Form
Please join the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research and MLK Health Sciences Committee as we host author and ethicist Harriet A. Washington on March 11, 2020. Washington's book "A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind" will be the focal point of the discussion from 1:00-3:00 pm. An author signing and reception will follow from 3:00-4:00 pm.

Hard copies of the book will be available to the first 75 Health Science students who register for the event and request a book (see question below). Health Science schools and colleges include the School of Dentistry, School of Kinesiology, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, School of Social Work, College of Pharmacy, and Medical School.
Please indicate whether you would like to receive a hard copy of "A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind." We will follow up via email with instructions on picking up your book.
