Monelison Middle School STEM Nights
Monelison Middle School will be holding 3 STEM nights during second semester. Each night, 30 students will complete a project with his/her parent then take the finished project home. Sign up will be on a first-come, first-served basis. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERTISE TO COMPLETE THE PROJECTS. The student and accompanying parent will be given a kit with everything they need to complete an electronics project specifically designed for ages 12 and up. Ninety students in all will have the opportunity to participate in the STEM nights. If interested, please sign up below.

Please select which project you would like to complete with your child. Projects will be limited to the first 30 participants. Once the limit is reached, that project will no longer appear in the list below.
February 13 from 3:00 - 5:00; Students will assemble a hand-crank flashlight to learn how capacitors, stepper motors and diodes work.
March 15 from 5:00 - 7:00; Students will build an amplification circuit to power a personal speaker to learn about transistors and electromagnetism.
April 11 from 3:00 - 5:00; Students will construct a variable speed laser projector capable of producing a variety of different geometric patterns to investigate the science behind lasers, potentiometers and motors.
