CARIRI's Food Fraud Conference 2018
Food Fraud is a global threat! The USFDA defines it as the illegal deception for economic gain using food.

The Conference will be an excellent starting point for companies to identify their vulnerabilities and plan mitigation efforts. The timing and relevance is most appropriate as despite being a fairly small twin island Republic, we have been exposed to various forms of food fraud such as honey laundering, misrepresentation of frozen/fresh leg quarters, seafood adulteration and mislabeling of coconut water.

The focus will not be just on “what is food fraud” or “how to detect” but on the country- or company-wide vulnerability assessment that supports the development of a rational, practical, and efficient prevention strategy.

The goal is not to “catch” food fraud but to prevent it from occurring in the first place. It is an intellectual day of sharing best practices, lessons learned and detection & prevention methods. Join us in our fight to stop dishonest food !

a. An email confirmation will be sent once registration form and payment have been received.
b. Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment by CARIRI.
c. Cash, Cheque, Credit card payments must be made at CARIRI’s Accounting Department (UWI Campus, St Augustine). Cheques can be made payable to: Caribbean Industrial Research Institute or CARIRI.
d. Direct Deposits can be made to any Republic Bank (Account # 160 127 505 001), please forward a copy of deposit slip to confirm payment.
e. If you choose the Online method of payment, we will send you a PayPal invoice, after which you can go ahead and make your payment.
f. By filling out this registration form, participants acknowledge that workshop fees are NON-REFUNDABLE if cancellation is made within five (5) working days of the seminar.
g. Any cancellations/substitutions must be sent via email to jramoutar@cariri.com by Friday 29th June 2018 at 4:00pm. In cases where participants neither cancel nor attend this event, please note that there is NO ENTITLEMENT under any circumstances.
