We’re searching for charitable program ideas that support our mission of community development, job creation, and job growth. We want programs that will not only enhance the quality of life for our worker-owners but for all Ohioans, and reflect The Ohio Cooperative’s high standards of charitable service.
We want to work with new talent and continuously develop charitable programs that add diversity to accomplishing our mission.
The program must adhere to the IRS section 501(c)(3) exempt purposes:“The exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3) are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. The term charitable is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.”
Accepted charitable programs will become direct charitable programs of The Ohio Cooperative, and the founder will become the Program Lead.
