$80,000 - OUTDOOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: This project will fund the purchase and installation of durable outdoor musical instruments in neighborhood parks. Instruments may include drums, chimes, xylophones, and other interactive features. They will be placed in accessible areas for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. These installations will encourage creativity, activity, and community connection.
$47,000 - GOODWIN PARK LABYRINTH: This project will include a full outer circle of cobble stone with a diameter of 60 feet. In the Labyrinth path there will also be installed another six circles, all from cobble stone laid vertically. The stones will be laid in concrete, which will ensure that they are compact and won't move.
$40,000 - PICNIC TABLES IN PARKS: This project will pay for the purchase and installation of 15 eight-foot Commons picnic tables (see photo above) made of recycled plastic with ADA-compliant wheelchair access on both ends and easy-access seating for eight adults. Five tables will be installed in each of three parks - Pope Park, Keney Park, and Elizabeth Park - at locations specified by the "Friends of" associations for each park.
$30,000 - GAME TABLES & BENCHES: This project will fund the purchase and installation of three durable outdoor game tables with attached seating, along with additional benches, in Lozada Park. The game tables may be used for chess, checkers, dominoes, cards, and other community games that bring people together. Designed for long-term outdoor use, these tables and benches will create a welcoming gathering space for residents of all ages to socialize, relax, and enjoy recreational activities.
$20,000 - 200 FLOWERING BUSHES IN PARKS: This project will fund the purchase and planting of at least 200 flowering bushes, including hydrangeas, azaleas, and rhododendrons, in smaller neighborhood parks throughout the city, including Hyland Park. These colorful, low-maintenance plantings will enhance park entrances, walking paths, gathering areas, and green spaces, creating more welcoming and vibrant public spaces for residents and visitors.
$27,500 - BOCCE COURT IN BUCKINGHAM SQUARE PARK: A local company will build a regulation (91' x 13') bocce ball court with a low maintenance surface in the center of this long and narrow park. Four anchored all- weather benches will also be purchased and installed next to the court for players and spectators.
