Beef and Hog Deposit and Minimum Processing Acknowledgement *
I understand to schedule a beef appointment a $100/beef deposit is required and minimum processing price of beef is $450 if livestock dress weight is less than the equivalent weight needed to meet the per-pound processing rate

I understand to schedule a hog appointment a $50/hog deposit is required and minimum processing price of hogs is $140 if livestock dress weight is less than the equivalent weight needed to meet the per-pound processing rate.

Deposits are refundable up to a week prior to day of slaughter. 
Labeling: Generic labels provide item name, date packaged and lot/order number. *
Beef 30 Months and Older Acknowledgement

For beef submissions only: If the beef is determined to be 30 months of age or older during slaughter, I understand and agree I will not receive the following items in my completed order: head, neck/back bones, t-bone and porterhouse steaks (filet mignon and New York strip steaks may be substituted).

Slaughter Instructions: Please read the below in its entirety and select agree and/or provide additional comment in "other" as needed.

Beef and hogs requiring USDA slaughter with stamp applied must be transported live to West Forty Market located at 37404 Westham Ln Mechanicsville, MD 20659. A team member will provide specific slaughter instructions during scheduling. 

Beef and hogs scheduled for custom exempt processing may be transported live to West Forty Market located at 37404 Westham Ln Mechanicsville, MD 20659 OR Stauffer's Butcher Barn for slaughter. Location of slaughter is at the discretion of Stauffer's Butcher Barn per their availability. A team member will provide specific slaughter instructions during scheduling. 

Beef slaughter/disposal fee: $140
Beef slaughter/disposal fee over 30 months old: $180
Hog slaughter/disposal fee: $80
Hog slaughter (long hair breeds)/disposal fee: $95

Lamb, Goat and Rabbits should be transported live to Stauffer's Butcher Barn per provided instructions from a team member. Slaughter fee is included in processing fee.

Acceptance & Condemnation 

 I understand Stauffer’s Butcher Barn and West Forty Market reserve the right to refuse intake of any animal that exhibits signs of disease, severe illness, or other conditions that may render the animal unfit for slaughter or processing. If, during slaughter or processing, an animal or carcass is determined to be unfit for human consumption, processing will cease and the carcass will be condemned and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations after communication with the customer.

Hauling

I understand it is the producer's responsibility to haul or arrange for a hauler to transport livestock to the appropriate slaughter facility.

Pick up Information:

When your order is ready, you will be contacted with a designated pickup timeframe.

If you are unable to pick up your order/s during the scheduled pickup window, please notify us as soon as possible. Each order not picked up within the designated pickup timeframe is subject to a holding fee of $50 per day until each order is picked up.
