Banking on Impact Project Participation
Hello, and welcome to the Banking on Impact (BOI) Project Participation screener!
The objective of this initial study for the BOI Project is to find out if there are designers, design consultants, and artists in Canada who are working in, with, or adjacent to financial services, or in themes associated with the economy, and who are thinking about the impact that their work has on larger societal challenges (e.g., the increasing inequality gap, social and economic inclusion, climate change).
We’re conducting a set of interviews to assess if there is enough of an appetite to talk about this topic outside of work and to see what themes might emerge. The insights gained from initial interviews will inform the potential development of a forum that aims to open conversations at the intersection of art, design, financial services, and the larger socio-economic context.
As designers working for Canadian banks, our intention as researchers in this study is to foster dialogue that is non-proprietary and agnostic of the institutions where we work day-to-day. We’re interested in understanding if and how this group is thinking about the impact of their work, and not in the specifics that would be in conflict with any commitments to our respective places of work.
We are looking for different perspectives but we also don't want to waste your time. Before jumping into an interview, we would like to learn a bit about you and how your interests might fit with the study. Please take a moment to respond to the questions below. If there is a good fit, we will reach out to you by email to set up an interview.
If you're not interested in participating in an interview right now but are interested in a potential forum, we welcome hearing from you as well. Just note the nature of your interest below.
Thanks for your time and interest!
