2019 Lunenburg Arts Festival Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to the 2nd Annual Lunenburg Arts Festival. The focus of the festival is on allowing local artists to showcase and sell their work and to highlight the role of the arts in creating community. The date is Saturday, June 8, 2019. In the event of severe inclement weather, a rain date of Sunday, June 9 may be declared. This is to be determined by the festival organizers by noon of June 7. Memorial Drive in the center of town (behind the library, in front of the Kids Kingdom playground and the Eagle House/Senior Center) will be shut down to traffic. Artist/Vendor booths will be set up along Memorial Drive to maximize foot traffic along the vendor corridor. Any questions can be directed to LunenburgArtsFestival@gmail.com. The application jurying fee is $40.00. The fee is non-refundable and must be included with the application. Please go to LunenburgArtsFestival.com/apply to view payment instructions. We charge an application fee to all applying artists, however if you are accepted into the festival, there is no additional booth fee. The fee is non-refundable and will not be returned to you even if you are not selected into the festival. The festival will be juried by a group of local artists and members of the Lunenburg Cultural Council. Not all applicants will be accepted into the festival. We are selecting to get a good mix of artists with a variety of products. You do not have to be a Lunenburg resident in order to exhibit at the arts festival, but priority will be given to Lunenburg and surrounding town applicants. All products sold at your booth must be handmade by you the artist. Your application will not be considered complete until we have your payment.

You must include in your application 3 to 5 photos of your work. We would also like a photo of your booth set up if you have one.

Applications must be completed in full and are due by April 18. We will notify applicants of jurying results by May 4.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
SALES: You the artist are responsible for state and local taxes. The items for sale must be produced by you the artist- no reselling of items.
TIME: The festival will run from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2019. All vendors must be ready to sell by the opening of the festival at 10:00am. Vendors may begin set up at 8:00am. No vendor may begin breakdown before the official closing time of 3:00pm. Breakdown must be completed by 4:30pm. Vendors are responsible for their booth area being clean and free of litter or waste. No early teardown may take place.
SPACE: Your booth space will be assigned to you by the organizers of the festival. We will take into consideration your special requests and space needs as noted on your application, as well as the overall makeup to the festival.
Artists must ensure that they stay within the boundaries of their booths and do not encroach on their neighbors with displays or signage.
Artists are responsible for their booth at all times. The Lunenburg Art Festival is not responsible for merchandise or the booth itself.
All tents and canopies must be secured to the ground using weights or sand bags in case of wind.
Booth space will sized to accommodate a tent of 10’x10’
One business/artist per table, except with the prior approval of the arts festival.
BOOTHS: You the artist are responsible for providing your own tent, tables, chairs, and anything else you require. The Lunenburg Arts Festival will provide you only with a marked designated selling area.
APPLICATIONS: Applications must be completed in full and must include the non-refundable jurying fee of $40.00. Applications are due by April 18. You will be notified by email by May 4 regarding acceptance.
ELECTRICITY: There is no electricity available for vendors.
CANCELLATION: Artist/Vendor fees are nonrefundable. The Lunenburg Arts Festival is not liable for inclement weather or other conditions which prevent the Artist/Vendor from attending or fulfilling the contraction obligation as an Artist/Vendor. No refunds will be made for weather, accident, health, festival cancellation, postponement, or other reasons for nonparticipation.
Exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Lunenburg Arts Festival and against any loss, expense, claims, damages, causes of action, injuries, suits or damages, suits to person or property, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to the operation of the Exhibitors at the Lunenburg Arts Festival.
Failure to comply with festival rules will result in a ban from applying to next year’s festival
