Tell us a bit about yourself and your project. Generally speaking, most of our projects are street or public-space based and in Portland.
The board generally reviews applications on the second Tuesday of every
month. If we feel your project presents a potential good fit we'll
invite you to the following Board meeting (second Tuesday of the *following* month) to discuss the project in
detail. The Board will then decide (at that meeting or in follow-up
communication with you) whether Umbrella will be able to extend its
services to your project.
("Fiscal sponsorship" does not mean that we give away money. Fiscal sponsorship means that we incorporate your work into our mission which allows it to fall under our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. That means donors will be able to write-off donations to your projects on their taxes. In order to pay for our insurance and general overhead, we take a 10% fee from all financial donations made to your project.)
