Alder Commons Library!
Alder Commons is an all-ages community learning center where kids and adults alike can come take classes and spend time freely. We have recently moved into a building in NE Portland, Oregon, and have designated one of the rooms as a library and quiet space. This is where you come in! We are asking community members to contribute to a crowd-sourced library wishlist which will be available soon through Powell's Books!

With limited space, we want to make sure that we create a diverse and comprehensive wishlist of library books, so we're asking for help!

The library will (most likely) be organized into the following genre-ed sections (in no particular order):
- Classics
- Nonfiction
- Racial and Social Justice
- Poetry, plays, and novels-in-verse
- Self-directed Education [we have a lot of these already]
- Parenting
- Graphic novels
- Realistic Fiction
- Sci-fi & fantasy
- Young adult
- Children's books
- Reference

-------------
Alder Commons is an all-ages space, so we'll be asking for books for all types of learners; this is not just a children's library or just an adult library, rather we're looking for books that run the gamut.

Statement of Diversity: We are looking for a diversity of voices, and hope to have many different books available from all types of life experience and perspectives, especially those from minority groups and marginalized communities.

-------------
Please submit book suggestions below (with both title and author)! All sections are optional so if you're not feeling particularly inspired, go ahead and skip to the next one.

Thank you!
