South Loop Elementary School – Annual Principal Evaluation Parent Survey
One of the roles of the Local School Council (LSC) is to review the principal on an annual basis.  As part of that review process for the school year 2019-2020, we are seeking input from our school community on Principal Shelton's performance as it relates to the competencies that are part of her annual performance review.  Please fill out the survey at the link below to the best of your knowledge, and only give feedback based on your direct experience. If you do not have personal or direct knowledge of a question, or if the question does not apply to you, please mark “Don't Know.”

The survey responses will only be seen by members of the LSC and not by Principal Shelton herself, and the LSC will use this input as we decide on our ratings for Principal Shelton's 2019-20 evaluation.  Please include your name, email and children’s grades as part of your response.  Any responses that do not contain this information will not be considered.  Any questions about the survey or additional input can be directed to LSC member and Principal Evaluation Chair, Jennifer Rakstad (jrakstad@gmail.com).  Please complete the survey by no later than March 30, 2020.

Please rate the degree to which you agree or disagree with the following statements by marking under the rating that best reflects your opinion.

1. The principal identifies a diverse Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP) team that includes all stakeholders (parents, teachers, staff and community members) and involves them in the CIWP process. NOTE:  The CIWP is the strategic planning process of CPS schools that also meets the federal and state requirements of a school improvement plan. This plan establishes a school's mission, and the strategies and milestones the school will take to accomplish its goals. The current CIWP runs from 2018-2020 and is available on the school website.  The process for creating the 2020-2022 CIWP began in January 2020.
