On November 5, Coeur d'Alene Public Schools will be asking our community to renew its financial support of our kids. Taxpayers will vote to replace the 2-year, $25-million-per-year supplemental levy that expires at the end of this school year. The replacement levy is for the same amount as the previous two years. It provides approximately one-quarter of our annual operating funds, and pays for employee costs, textbooks and classroom supplies, student computers, sports and other extracurricular activities (drama, music, debate, etc), safety personnel, student transportation, custodial services, and more. Our community has consistently and overwhelmingly supported our public schools through the years by passing this levy, and we rely on that support to make our schools great.
We need your help to get the word out about the huge impact the levy has on educating our children and making Coeur d'Alene a great place to live. There are lots of ways to help. Sign up for any or all of the options below to get involved.
