Digital Wellbeing Research Study

Dear participant,

Thank you for your interest in participating in this masters thesis projectExploring design opportunities for Digital Wellbeing on social media". This study is being conducted as part of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Human–Computer Interaction at University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. In order to use your personal data, we would need your written declaration of consent. Please, carefully read the following information.

General study information

The goal of this thesis project is to understand how design can be used to promote wellbeing and mindful social media usage.

Overall study procedure

After you complete this form:

  1. You will receive an email with a link to schedule a virtual Interview
  2. A 30-minute interview will be conducted to understand your views on digital wellbeing tools.

Remuneration

The participation in this study is voluntary & no remuneration is provided. You may withdraw or stop your participation at any time without incurring any consequences. Moreover, you can request information about the processed personal data at any time, even after the termination of the study (for further information see also Confidentiality and data processing).

Confidentiality and data processing

Your data will only be processed anonymously within the study, if you give your consent.

During the study, the researcher may take audio, video and/or photographic recordings of the participant, which will be stored and analyzed for the purposes of this research project.

Moreover, personal details and data will be kept strictly confidential and will not be passed on to third parties. our data will be stored on password-protected computers. The data collected in the study can be stored for up to 3 years after completion of the project. Moreover, it can be used for reports or scientific publications, however, your name or other personally identifiable data will not be shared with third parties. Images and/or video/sound recordings are only used in anonymized form.
