International Supervision Program
This project has been created to provide an exchange of professional expertise between ITAA members, thereby tapping into the professional wisdom within the ITAA as well as creating a new income stream for the association. We are a community of learners at differing levels of expertise, and it is important that we keep talking with each other. This project opens up a new way for that to happen and for our organization to become an active learning community. ITAA members who are qualified at the level of PTSTA and TSTA are asked to donate some of their time to the ITAA as supervisors so that trainee members can then access supervision from them at a discounted rate. The fees are subject to TAlent rates and so are affordable in all parts of the world. The consultations will be entirely private and subject to the ITAA Code of Ethical Conduct.
Benefits:
• Trainees may access trainers across the world and obtain supervision at possibly a lower rate than if they paid the trainer directly (see rates listed below).
• Trainers may work with trainees across international regions, thus enriching their own learning and supervision experience.
• The ITAA will generate revenue through this learning exchange.

New UPDATE: 13-June-2017: This project is open to anyone who wants to avail supervision: TA and NON TA practitioners

John Heath, TSTA (P)
I have been a professional psychologist all my working life. I was an Educational Psychologist for almost 20 years before training in TA with psychotherapy speciality. I have been running a private psychotherapy practice in the north of England since the early 1990’s. I was consultant psychotherapist for 12 years at a local hospital working as part of a pain clinic. This was with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions and the work led me to become interested in body psychotherapy and the somatic focus in therapy. I have studied widely in body psychotherapy since qualifying in TA and find that the two methods work very well in combination. I have been TSTA since 2004 and have built up an international training and supervision practice since then. I think of my supervision style as practical, eclectic and needs based, with some specialist skills in somatic presentations and a keen interest in group work.
