ESSER III Student/Parent/Community Survey
Haskell CISD is applying to receive Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER III) to address unfinished learning and COVID-19 recovery. The funds allocated to Haskell CISD exceed one million dollars. These funds are designated for one-time or short-term expenditures to address the onlging impact of the pandemic. Atleast 20% of the funds must be used to remediate lost instruciton due to COVID to close the gaps of our students. We are seeking your input about where to allocate these resources. To provide instructional materials/resources, curriculum, activities and outreach to close the gaps in learning created by COVID.
To secure diagnostic assessments and tools to help students, parents and families improve student engagement in distance learning and track student attendance.
To provide social and emotional/counseling or wellness supports to students and professional develpment (training) to staff.
To purchase cleaning supplies to sanitize facilities, personl protective equipment and provide staff training on safety procedures.
To provide HVAC and facility updates for cleaner indoor air quality.
To provide technology and software updates and improve infrastructure and connectivity.
To provide an online learning platform and dashboards to ensure educational services can continue during long-term closures.
To provide tutorials both before and after school, especially at the elementary campus.
To provide payroll costs to retain and hire certified and high quality staff.
