JASON Sweden Experience 
The symposium On Human Origins and the Future of Humanity will take place April 18-19, 2024, in the 50th year of the discovery of Lucy by Prof. Donald Johanson who will be one of a number of keynote speakers. Johanson’s discovery forever changed mankind’s view of ourselves. The program will delve into the origin of life itself and will highlight further and recent developments in the understanding of our genetic heritage, evaluating how mankind has evolved and what new scientific discoveries and technologies will mean for human life going forward. The program will consider where humankind is potentially headed given new scientific understanding and discoveries, that offer the abilities to extend life and human capabilities. We will look at our place as a species, in terms of time, our role in nature, in tangent with the many challenges and opportunities that lay before us, such as ecological instability, species extinction and procurement and allocation of dwindling resources.

This would be an additional fee of $150 per person and would require the traveler to make their own arrangements to arrive at the American Museum of Natural History on time for the tour. Payment for this event, should we reach the minimum number of 4 will be billed to you by invoice at which time you can make payment by credit card.  *

To reserve your spot for the conference and the JASON meet-up you will need to make non-refundable deposit of $200  no later than Jan. 15, 2024 . By clicking the yes box you agree to receive an email invoice from JASON that will allow you to pay the deposit. Once you have paid your deposit you will be sent additional information regarding registration and location of the symposium

  • Donation to JASON for general trip support is $200.
  • A minimum number of confirmed attendees (meaning deposit payment received) is required under this JASON Alumni group. If the required minimum number of attendees is not received by the JASON-determined deadline, then deposits will be returned in full to those who have paid them. If the minimum number of attendees is received, no refunds are possible. Potential attendees are advised not to book travel//lodging before the minimum number of attendees is confirmed. By taking advantage of this opportunity you acknowledge that in no event is JASON responsible or liable for any costs you might incur, including any cancellation costs.
