Pick an organization for Shared Plate!
Usually, in Children's chapel during the month of March, the South Church children and youth have a chance to vote for one recipient of our shared plate giving. We spend a little time learning about a few different groups, and then take a vote to determine our choice for the year. Here are the three nominees for this year's vote. Read the descriptions of each one and pick the one you'd like to be chosen.
The three organizations are:
Crossroads House (Seacoast) –
They provide emergency and transitional shelter to homeless men, women, and children in the Seacoast area. They provide homeless families and individuals with basic necessities, as well as tools and guidance they need to return to permanent housing.
Joan Lovering Health Center -
Reproductive and sexual health clinic that respects and advocates for the right of everyone to maintain freedom and choices regarding their own sexual and reproductive health.
They support adults living with mental illness through a work-ordered day. It is a clubhouse model for members to come together for health, wellness, employment, fellowship and education.
