Audition Form for Spring 2024: Festival of New Plays and Tape
Please read this information carefully:

This form must be filled out to accompany your audition for the Spring 2024 productions of the 9th Annual Festival of New Plays and Tape. Please email kstone@sdccd.edu with any questions regarding this form or the auditions.

Be sure to carefully read the included information and answer the questions completely. You must also sign up for an audition time at the bottom of this form.

All auditions will be held at the Black Box Theatre at City College on Thursday, February 1st. Please plan to arrive early for your scheduled time and wait outside until you are called into the theatre. Out of consideration for the directors, please do not be a no-show. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your audition by emailing kstone@sdccd.edu.

For your audition, please bring a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. If you do not have a monologue prepared, we will have material available for you to read, although memorized monologues are strongly preferred.

Festival of New Plays: information forthcoming

Be sure to check your email after your audition on February 1st for information on who is requested for callbacks.

Callbacks for both productions will be February 2nd, from 6:00-9:00 pm (You may not be called back for the whole time-- please let us know if that time/date doesn't work for you.) At the callbacks you will be asked to read for various roles.

Rehearsals for The Festival of New Plays will be dependent on individual schedules, starting February 5th. Performances will be March 15th-23rd.

Rehearsals for Tape will likely be Mon-Thurs from 3:30-6:30, starting April 25th. Performances will be May 16th-18th.

All actors must enroll in either ONE or TWO units of DRAM 244: Theatre Workshop, depending on your level of involvement in the productions.

Thank you in advance for your audition. We look forward to seeing you!
