Fulbridge holds a wide range of events, such as a series focused on COVID-19-related research, Career Chats, research workshops, and events in collaboration with Fulbright Affinity groups, and is seeking a dedicated and eager volunteer to lead the overall coordination and management of Fulbridge events. Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing event guidelines/protocols and work to systematize Fulbridge events
- Managing overall events calendar and scheduling; mitigating event/topic overlap as possible, ensuring reach and accessibility of events
- Reviewing and approving suggested events
- Liaising with fellow coordinators, other Fulbridge teams, and external groups
- Serving as a resource and sounding board for events team members
- Checking in with event team members regularly
- Provide updates to the Fulbridge Executive Board
In the future, this position may also include:
- Developing new event ideas - both individually and with team member(s) - and help adapting ongoing events
- Attending events as possible; providing tech support when necessary
- Onboarding new events team members and supporting recruitment of new events team members
Ideal candidates will:
- Possess attention to detail and an affinity for spreadsheets and calendars
- Have strong communication skills - an ability to communicate clearly and accommodate various communication and work styles
- Have experience with event planning and with remote/online events is particularly helpful
- Enjoy working with a wide range of people
- A tendency to brainstorm and come up with creative solutions
- Be independent and self-motivated
- Maintain an interest in building new skills and learning about a range of topics
