Every Child Belongs: Sensory Room Grant

Arizona PTA is awarding a limited number of Sensory Room Kits to PTAs to help make school events more inclusive for all students and families. This is an in kind grant of a complete sensory kit which will include instructions for setup and signage. You will also be given access to the signage template through Canva to allow for personalization of individual PTA's. These kits will fit into a large plastic tote that will also be provided.

The sensory kit can be used during school or PTA events such as festivals, open houses, sporting events or family nights.

Application Deadline: March 13th, 2026

Who Can Apply: Any Arizona PTA/PTSA in good standing.

Receipt of Sensory Kits: Sensory Kits will be distributed to awarded PTAs at the Arizona PTA Convention in May or arrangements will be made for pick up in Surprise, AZ in June.

Other Requirements: PTA Awardees will be required to attend a seminar during Arizona PTA Convention or online after the convention as part of their acceptance of this grant. A minimum of 2 pictures of the sensory kit in use and a short testimonial will be due to Diversity@AZPTA.org within 30 days of first use or by Nov. 1st, whichever comes first.

Grant Determination: This grant will be awarded using a rubric of point values.  The applicants with the highest point value will be awarded the grant.  

     Section 1: 9 points

     Section 2: 30 points

     Section 3: 6 points

     Total Points available: 45
