SLELO PRISM is looking for volunteers to assist a restoration planting on November 9th, tentatively from 10 AM- 3 PM at El Dorado Preserve, located off Grand Jean Road in Henderson, NY (Google Map).

What to Expect: 

• We will begin promptly at 10 AM, and plan to end by 3 PM depending on needs.
• A brief project overview and planting instructions will be provided.
• We’ll walk a flat trail through forested and field settings (approximately 0.3 miles or 10-15 minutes each way).
• Native plants will be planted in an open field, and forest gaps.
• No experience is required, and tools will be provided (but feel free to bring your own tools or gloves).
• Bring water, a bagged lunch, and any snacks you may need.
• We will be in tall grass, so wear field attire such as long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against ticks and poison ivy.

More information will be sent to you as the event approaches. You must sign a liability waiver to participate, a digital form will be sent out before the event and paper copies will also be available at the event if you aren’t able to sign one digitally.
