Fall 2024 Chimes Contract
Dear Caregivers,
 
My name is Kyoko Makovsky and I am thrilled to be the new music teacher at CHVE. I look forward to a great year of making music with your children and am excited to invite all interested fifth grade students to join chimes. I believe participating in a chimes ensemble is a valuable performance and team experience. There is a maximum of 20 spaces available this semester. If more than 20 students sign up for chimes, I will use a random choice generator to compile a group of 20 students. An email confirming your child's spot will be sent out the week of August 26th. 
 
Rehearsals
Students participating in chimes will meet in the music room on Tuesday afternoons from 2:45-3:30 PM. Please make note of the dates we do not have rehearsal below. 

Chimes for the 2024 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 3rd.  All chimes Google forms need to be submitted to Mrs. Makovsky by Friday, August 23rd. Paper copies are also available in the music room. 
 
Attendance is mandatory to prepare for our upcoming concert. If a time conflict arises or your child is absent from school that day, please reach out to me ASAP. Students with more than three unexcused absences will be unable to participate in chimes due to lack of needed preparation.
 
Pick-Up
Chimes ends promptly at 3:30 PM. Students will exit through Door 10 (La Tronico exit). Students picked up late more than twice will be asked not to participate in chimes. Students who attend Dolphin Club must check-in with Dolphin Club staff before coming to the music room. I will walk students who attend Dolphin Club to the cafeteria after rehearsal is dismissed.
 
Performances
Our winter concert will take place on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 PM in the CHVE gym. Please mark this date on your calendar!
