Call for interest in CompEd committee including Program Chair
The ACM Global Computing Education Conference (CompEd) Steering Committee is inviting expressions of interest for Program Chair and other program and organizational committee positions for the second iteration of CompEd which will be held in Hyderabad, India in December, 2021. (Note, due to COVID this has been postponed until 2022.)

Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering as a Program Chair or other position (see full list below) for ACM CompEd 2022 or for future CompEd conferences. You must be a SIGCSE member.

-------Specific information for Program Co-Chair------

The Program Co-Chair is expected to attend CompEd 2021 and 2023, the locations of 2023 is still to be determined. Program chairs will have conference registration fees waived but are expected to pay for their own travel and accomodations. Other members of the committee (those recruited for either the program components or the organizational tasks) are expected to attend the conference and may be given discounted conference fees at the discretion of the host and program chair. This must be reflected in the budget. It is not assumed that all members of the committee will receive free registration. (

The selected individual will serve as Junior Program Co-Chair for CompEd 2021 (with the existing Senior Co-Chair) and then as Senior Program Co-Chair for CompEd 2023 (with a new Junior Chair). Registration fees will be waived but officially travel and accommodation is not covered and typically not budgeted. However in 2019 alternative means were found to make significant contributions to costs.

The program chairs are responsible for the oversight of the academic content of the conference. This includes the solicitation, reviewing and final presentation of submissions and the conference program. A demonstrated ability to assume responsibility of the academic program of a large international conference is essential, typically through past experience in similar roles.
