Great Lakes Conservation Corps: Crew Leader Application for Ottawa National Forest crew **Based in Ironwood, MI
The GLCC is a program that is administered by the Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP), which is located in Marquette, MI. The GLCC crew leader will be responsible for leading and supervising a conservation crew of three 18-25 year olds. Duties include: crew management and safety, delegating tasks to ensure project deliverables are completed well, submitting weekly data sheets and photos to supervisors, regular communication with SWP staff and project managers, and the organization, maintenance and procurement of tools and supplies.

The GLCC “Ottawa crew” will be based out of Ironwood, MI, and will be working on projects that are primarily located on the Ottawa National Forest (ONF). Your crew will consist of a team of four (three crewmembers of 18-25 year olds, and yourself). You will gain experience in a wide range of conservation and natural resource management projects, and you will be working with ONF project managers who specialize in botany, soils, recreation, forestry and wildlife.
