COMMITMENT
Are you willing and able to meet with your assigned student(s) 3X before each debate (meetings take place at your law school; they will last approximately 2 hrs; they are scheduled at a time that works for you and your student(s); there are approximately 4-6 wks between each debate)?
If you are not able to commit to meeting with your student(s) 3 times prior to each debate AND attend the debate (unless excused for religious purposes), we cannot accept your application to be a coach.
Are you willing and able to attend the Debates to serve as a judge and support your student? There are 3 debates per year (4 for students who qualify for a final competition); they will be on Fridays, 6:00-9pm. (Those who have a religious conflict are excused).
Are you willing and able to commit to coaching two students (while some coaches may be assigned to 1 student, the standard arrangement will be 2 students per coach. Coaches will meet with the students simultaneously).
If you are a new coach, are you willing and able to attend a coach training session to be held on a weeknight in October? (Date TBD)
If you cannot coach, are you interested in serving as a debate judge only? (Y/N)
Are there any days of the week that you know you cannot coach? If so, please specify below as applicable.
E.g. if you have an internship, you work, you have external commitments, etc.
