The William A. Neal Student Award Application
To support scholarship and students in the Public Health program at West Virginia University, the Gamma Mu chapter of the Delta Omega Honor Society has established the William A. Neal Award. This award is designed to enrich students' experiences by providing funding for community-engaged research or involvement in community service learning events within West Virginia. The supported initiative must be project-based and requires active involvement from the student in such activities. This funding is limited, but all requests will be reviewed and considered. Funds will be provided based on request, availability, and merit. This award cannot be used for tuition, to support program stipends, books, etc. Instead, it is meant to support a specific community public health initiative. Award will be granted up to $200.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must satisfy the following criteria:
  • Must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) in the WVU School of Public Health when receiving the award.
  • Enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour during the semester that the award will be received.
