At the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), we have been closely examining the changing regime around the draft Intermediary Liability rules. Our research has focused on the impact of mandating automated content filtering, shortened turnaround times for intermediaries to take content down, and the traceability of originators of information. We are hosting these panel discussions to contribute to the discourse around the nuances of the rules and the future of intermediary liability in India.
