Freeport Memorial Library’s Business Resource Information Center (BRIC) will be a resource that can be utilized by those seeking knowledge, tools and materials to help promote economic development and entrepreneurship. The BRIC shall not be used for commercial purposes, recreational purposes or any programs or meetings not related to business development or entrepreneurship. Use the form below in order to request use of the BRIC room. (BE ADVISED- LIMITED ROOM AVAILABILITY ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS BETWEEN 9AM-5PM.)

When would you like to use this room?
Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. BRIC room reservations will only be considered during the Library's normal business hours. Confirmations should be issued within 48 hours. Preference shall be given to Freeport residents or Freeport based businesses No guarantee of approval implied.
What time would you like to START the reservation?
Reservations can be scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the library opens.
What time would you like to END the reservation?
The BRIC can be used for a period of up to 2 hours. This period may be extended if the room is not scheduled to be used. Extensions must be granted by a librarian. Reservation period must end 30 minutes before the library closes.

By checking the box below, you indicate that you've read and agree to the following procedures: 1. The BRIC shall not be used for commercial purposes, fundraising, political campaigning, any illegal or potentially hazardous activity, recreational purposes. It shall not be used for programs or meetings not related to business development or entrepreneurship, unless permitted by the Director, Assistant Director, Business Advisory Member or the Librarian-in Charge. Library programs and/or staff related meetings and training shall always take precedence over outside programs and/or other uses for the space. 2. BRIC room reservations will only be considered during normal business hours. Confirmations should be issued within 48 hours. Preference shall be given to Freeport residents or Freeport based businesses. 3. The BRIC can be used for a period of up to 2 hours. This period may be extended if the room is not scheduled to be used. Extensions must be granted by a librarian. Reservations can be scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the library opens. Reservation period will end and the room will be cleared out 30 minutes before the library closes. 4. The BRIC shall only be used as a place to conduct meetings, exchange ideas and provide opportunities for business growth. No announcement or discussion of private practice, fees, selling or trading of products and/or services shall be made in the Library unless part of a library approved networking event. 5. Library staff shall be responsible for setting up and training in the use of library equipment when requested. Library staff shall not be expected to answer calls, take messages or perform other tasks (i.e. making photo copies, setting up presentation materials, etc.) for any business entities, presenters, or non-profits. Library staff shall not be viewed as an extension of business personnel. 6. The occupancy of the BRIC shall not exceed 12 persons. 7. Use of the BRIC room does not reflect the Library’s endorsement of any particular program, position, or purpose of any person or organization. Users may not create public announcements, fliers, or other materials implying that the Library has endorsed any BRIC room use unless all parties have made a formal collaboration agreement in advance. 8. Library equipment shall not be damaged, altered or removed from the BRIC. Patrons will assume responsibility for any damage to library property or equipment. The Library is not responsible for any valuables left unattended in the meeting rooms. 9. Patrons who violate the above guidelines or that do not adhere to the policy may have their privileges suspended at the discretion of the Director. The Library reserves the right to change meeting room use procedures without notice. 10. Librarians can offer assistance with research but should not be viewed as business counselors or offer any legal or business advice.
