Since 1992, FIT has provided housing support, case management, and connection to community resources for families and youth facing housing insecurity. Our work depends on the support of community members like you.

🍓 I want to volunteer at the Strawberry Festival Aug 2 & 3 in Watsonville (Let us know your availability in the "other" section below — shifts run between 11 AM–8 PM Saturday and 11 AM–7 PM Sunday)

Events & Fundraisers: Help with set-up, greet attendees, sell raffle tickets, or assist with logistics during community fundraisers like our annual event or partner nights

Outreach & Tabling: Join us at community events, markets, or school nights to hand out flyers, talk about our programs, and connect people to resources.

Office & Admin Support: Assist with tasks like organizing donations, data entry, assembling mailers, or preparing event materials. Perfect for detail-oriented folks!

Translation or Language Support: Help translate flyers, documents, or interpret during events or calls — especially needed for Spanish, Mixteco, ASL, and other community languages.

Youth Mentorship or help facilitate activities for youth (During Events): Support families during workshops or events by engaging kids in coloring, reading, or structured activities.

Move-In Support / Housing Set-Up: Help our families settle into new homes by moving furniture, assembling household items, or prepping welcome baskets.

Social Media & Marketing: Assist with creating content, capturing photos at events, or brainstorming outreach strategies to grow FIT’s online presence.

Donation Drives & In-Kind Organizing: Host a drive for items like hygiene kits, cleaning kits, etc.

Special Projects (Art, Gardening, Repair, etc.): Use your unique skills to beautify a family’s home or our spaces — from painting to planting flowers or small repairs.
