At Housing Our Heroes, we’re celebrating the landlords and property managers who have gone above and beyond by working with service providers to ensure every veteran has a safe place to call home.

Thank you for helping us recognize outstanding landlords who are making a real difference in the effort to end veteran homelessness. Please read the description of the awards below. 

  • Landlord Legacy Award: Recognizes a landlord with a long-standing, sustained commitment to housing veterans over many years. This award honors consistent, dedicated partnership—someone who has been "in it for the long haul" and played a pivotal role over time in housing veterans, often serving as a reliable ally across multiple programs or agencies. 

  • Golden Key Award: Celebrates a landlord or property manager who helped veterans overcome significant barriers to secure long-term housing. This award highlights problem-solving, flexibility, and innovation—someone who may be newer to the work or less involved over time but made a major difference by saying “yes” when it mattered most. 

  • Tenant Choice Award 
    Chosen by veteran tenants, this award honors a landlord who creates a respectful, safe, and welcoming home—going beyond housing to truly support those who served.
