Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) - Camp fYrefly Alberta North 2024
We're looking for a diverse group of 10 youth (ages 14 - 24) to form the Youth Advisory Committee starting in March. As a YAC member you will brainstorm ideas, activities, and workshops, and connect with other youth. Everyone is welcome to apply, however, because these identities are often underrepresented, we are especially hoping to hear from people of colour, trans-feminine youth, people with disabilities, asexual, two-spirit, and indigenous youth.

Participation guarantees you a spot as a camper, however you are not required to attend in camp to be part of the YAC. Members are expected to attend up to eight 1-hour meetings from March - August, which may include evenings and weekends. If you miss more than two meetings without notice and approval you are not guaranteed a spot at Camp. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. Applications will be accepted until March 24, 2024. We will be in contact with all who apply within one week of the submission deadline. Thank you for applying!

Accessibility Note:
Most meetings will be online using Google Meet or Zoom. Please consider if you have access to a stable internet connection, a safe and private place where you can be during meetings, and a device you can use to connect. You will not be required to use a camera, and we encourage participants to bring along anything they might need to be comfortable (e.g., water, fidget toys, pen / pencils / paper). If you have any concerns about barriers to participating, please contact us at campfyre@ualberta.ca.
