To participate, fill out the form below and commit to:
1) Incorporate the fight for Fair Food and the Wendy’s Boycott into the weekend’s religious services through sermon, ritual, prayer, or another avenue. If you're located in South or Southwest Florida, consider inviting a member of the CIW to travel to your congregation to speak directly about their experiences.
2) Organize a public action to lift up the Wendy's Boycott, showing Wendy’s that the longer they stall, the longer they delay – and thereby deny – justice, the louder and more insistent our call will be. If you are in the Southeast, we also encourage you to also extend the call to Publix Supermarkets, another longtime Fair Food holdout. Public actions can range from a letter delivery to a local restaurant/store manager, a picket, a vigil, or collecting petition signatures after services.
Check out the Alliance for Fair Food site to download our 2018 LABOR DAY WORSHIP GUIDE, which includes ideas about how to incorporate the CIW's struggle into services and tips and resources to facilitate action planning.
