GSA External Affairs Director Applications (Due Wed., Oct 3rd at 5:00 p.m.)
The UCLA Graduate Student Association (GSA) Office of External Affairs is committed to advocating in support of UCLA graduate and professional students at the local, State, and national level. Our efforts involve following legislation affecting every student's quality of life, coalition building for UC campaigns, and mobilizing the campus community.

This year our office will be prioritizing the following items:

- Collaboration with Westwood Forward to establish a new neighborhood council;
- Advocating to support first generation and underrepresented graduate students;
- Taking the grievances of parenting students to a UC systemwide level;
- Expanding on undergraduate-graduate student partnerships;
- Building GSA's capacity for state and federal advocacy; and
- Establishing an LA-based graduate and professional student advocacy coalition.

There are three director positions available for the 2018 - 2019 academic year:

1) Legislative Affairs Director
2) Organizing Director
3) Community Relations Director
