BevArt would include private creative work spaces, shared creative workspaces, community art programming, and access to community spaces including the auditorium, hallways, lobby, and gym. Our goal is to develop sustainable infrastructure to support professional artists, provide a pathway to the arts for the broader community, and highlight local artists to tourists visiting Beverly.
Briscoe Middle School is a 144,000 square foot building with 75,000 square feet of rentable studio space. It is 1.5 miles from Route 128 and 1 mile from the Beverly Depot and Montserrat Train Stations and the beach. Currently, we project renting space at $12 per square foot per year. This amount covers the operational of the building as well as important, on-going capital improvements to secure the building’s longevity.
The purpose of this survey is to identify artists in Beverly, the North Shore, and the Greater Boston area who would be interested in potentially renting space at BevArt. The building has been voted surplus by the City of Beverly and will go through a public Request for Proposals Process.

Ex. 200 square feet X $12 per square foot per year = $2,400 annually or $200 per month.
