I agree that I am acting as a temporary custodian of the cat fostered (where cat can mean kitten too) for Animal Alliance of San Diego (""AASD") and that AASD remains the lawful owner of the cat. I will surrender the cat to an AASD representative within 24 hours if requested to do so for any reason. * *
Foster cats may have been neglected, mistreated, or abused and that special care or precautions may be required. Foster has been advised that a foster cat will need time to adjust to new routines, new family, and new surroundings. Foster is aware that the foster cat may need basic house manners and to closely supervise any interactions between any children or existing animals in the house. *
Foster agrees not to leave foster kittens under 12 weeks of age longer than 4 - 6 hours. *
Foster agrees to never use harsh physical discipline and will never physically abuse the foster cat. *
Foster will contact AASD if foster cat exhibits behavioral problems that are beyond their ability to reasonably manage. *
Foster agrees to exercise normal care in maintaining the health of foster cat by providing fresh food and fresh water, and daily exercise. . The feline will never be allowed to go outside foster home unless being transferred to another location in a cat carrier. *
Foster agrees to contact AASD immediately if the foster cat becomes ill, injured, or is missing. *
Foster will regularly advise AASD as to the condition and adjustment of the foster cat. Keeping a weekly documentation of the foster cat's habits and adjustment will help future adopter understand the foster cat's likes, dislikes, and personality. Foster will allow an AASD representative to visit their home to check on the health and welfare of the foster cat if necessary.
I understand that AASD cannot and does not make any guarantees as to the health, temperament, mental disposition, or training of the foster cat. I hereby foster the cat at my own risk. *
I fully and completely release AASD, its directors and volunteers, from any and all claims and disputes, including but not limited to any defects or illnesses the feline may have or develop, and for any injury or damage to person, property, or other household pets, which may be caused by the foster cat. I further agree to indemnify and hold AASD harmless against any and all claims and liability, including, but not limited to those asserted by third parties for any injury or damage to persons or property caused by the foster cat. *
In the event foster adopts foster cat, foster will pay full adoption fee to AASD. *
Foster shall return all supplies provided by AASD within two weeks after foster cat is no longer fostered by foster unless agreed otherwise with AASD. *
I have read and understand the statements above. I certify that all the information contained in this application is true and correct.
