Acting Shakespeare Class

The six 90-minute intensive classes will engage the senses and get you ready to “speak the speech” at your next audition, at The Pittsburgh Public Theatre’s Shakespeare Monologue Contest, or just for fun! Classes will cover: hidden stage directions, gear-shift changes, repetition, alliteration antithesis, vocal technique, fresh-minting your words, and more!

Those students who wish to compete must enroll in the class by December 31st, 2025 in order to be registered in time. Students will need to provide their own transportation to the Public for the competition (preliminary rounds are typically mid-February during the day with the Finals taking place in the evening at the end of February).

ALL students will have the opportunity to perform in a class showcase at the conclusion of the course!
