Ridgefield Park Green Business Program
Dear Business Owner,
The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission(EC) and Green Team are offering your business an incredible opportunity to explore sustainability concepts, practices, and innovations that resonate with your customers, employees and investors. Implementing these practices will help your business to have a positive social, environmental, and economic impact on the community. Yes, going green can be good for your business. Your biggest sources of greenhouse gas emissions are often the items that cost your business money: electricity, raw materials, business travel and waste disposal. Reducing your carbon footprint will help deliver savings that support both your businesses environmental and financial goals.

To help your business achieve the goal of becoming sustainable, the Ridgefield Park EC and Green Team have developed a basic survey to assist you in achieving Green Certification (at no cost to you) for the Village of Ridgefield Park. It is our hope that by achieving this certification, that your business will go on to become a part of New Jersey’s Sustainable Business Registry. http://registry.njsbdc.com/about.

As you begin to read and complete the enclosed survey, you may find that your business is already employing many of the sustainable practices that will earn your business certification. In order to be certified a business must accomplish 5 out of the below list of actions. Each business will receive the below seal for their window and website, consulting from the green team, and promotion on the towns website and Sustainable FB page. If you have any questions regarding the enclosed survey and how your business can earn certification, please email us at envcomm@ridgefieldpark.org

Sincerely,

The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission and Green Team
