“Expanding Climate Action in the Visual Arts,” hosted by the
Helen Frankenthaler Foundation in conjunction with the
Frankenthaler Climate Initiative (FCI) and Climate Week NYC.
Through a moderated conversation with leaders from museums and art schools across the country, “Expanding Climate Action in the Visual Arts” explores current models for energy efficiency and clean energy in the arts, and proposes a series of action items and next steps that arts organizations can take to advance their energy resiliency. The event includes brief presentations by several recent FCI grant recipients, as well as other leaders from the cultural field who are shaping climate change action in the visual arts.
This event will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 5:30–7:00 PM.
Due to limited capacity, registrants who would like to attend the event in-person will be added to a waitlist and will be contacted if space becomes available. All members of the public are welcome to join us remotely via livestream.
Full details, including a final list of speakers, streaming channel, and additional program information will be sent shortly after confirmation of your RSVP. Please feel free to pass along this form to any potentially interested parties.
Please indicate your availability to join us during Climate Week NYC by no later than 9/13.
