Zoomies is no longer accepting applications for new dog owners.
We have some bittersweet news to share: Zoomies has officially closed its doors

When we started the program, our goal was to provide support to struggling dog owners during the COVID-19 pandemic. For over two years, we had the honour of assisting dog owners across Ontario with the help of our incredible team of volunteers. Now that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, it is time for us to retire the project. As such, Zoomies is regrettably no longer accepting applications for new dog owners.

If you are in need of dog-walking support, may we recommend you look into some of the following options:

1) ElderDog - ElderDog provides long-term pet-centric support to seniors. They are well established across Canada and have an extensive volunteer network. https://elderdog.ca

2) Rover - Rover provides profiles of dog walkers (and other pet support providers) in your area, allowing you to select the best walker for you based on reviews, fees, and availability. While this is a paid service, it can provide reliable support and may be a good option for short- or long-term assistance. www.rover.com/ca

3) Your local Humane Society or OSCPA branch. If you are in need of temporary care for your pet, your local Humane Society or OSPCA may be able to provide free, temporary fostering.

We regret that we can not provide assistance at this time, but wish you the best in finding the support you are looking for.
