Program Description
The Pioneer Career SBP at WCJC provides recent high school graduates the opportunity to start college off right by focusing on career and transfer planning early. The program will last 2 weeks  from June 17, 2024-June 28, 2024 (Mon-Fri).

Get a jump start on your college experience and participate in immersive field trips to regional employers and colleges. All expenses are covered by the Pioneer Career SBP at no expense to the student. At the end of the experience, participants will be able to receive a $1000 scholarship.

Eligibility
• Graduating from High School in Spring 2024
• Planning to attend Wharton County Junior College in Fall 2024
• Willing and able to attend On Campus Seminars and Field Trips for the whole 2 weeks (June 17- June 28)

Application Deadline: May 24
How to Apply
1.       Submit the online Summer Bridge Application

2.       Apply to Wharton County Junior College using ApplyTexas.org

3.       Complete the TSI placement test in Reading/ Writing and Math

4.       Satisfy the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination requirement

5.       Submit the Summer Bridge Agreement Form
