We'd love you to actively participate in the co-creation of this year's Off Grid Festival in Exeter. In 2017 we're especially interested in attracting volunteers for our community kitchen, bar staffing, site crew, clear up crew and event stewarding. A deposit of £75 will be fully refunded upon completion of your agreed shifts.
Kitchen crew, bar staffing, event stewarding and production office volunteers:-In exchange for FREE access to Off Grid, volunteers will agree to work three shifts of 4 - 6 hours in duration over the 4 days of the festival. A total of 16-18hrs dependent on role and requirements. You will be selected for the role that suits you best based on your preferences, skill set and experience level.
Kitchen Staff work either breakfast, lunch or dinner shifts, helping prepare food for attendees and run our busy community kitchen space. Our stewards have a variety of roles onsite, from parking cars to helping keep the site clean and safe. Stewards are the eyes and ears of the festival, maintaining communication lines throughout the weekend. In the unlikely event of an emergency stewards may support the emergency response procedure like evacuation or emergency vehicle egress/regress marshaling.
Site crew volunteers:- we need site crew need to arrive on Sunday 6th August by 5pm and work through till the afternoon of 10th August once the gates open. This team will mostly consist of physical work so it will be advantage if you are physically able for this role. You will have three meals per day for this period starting with a meal on evening of Sunday 6th. Working on this team is a fantastic team-building experience, we highly recommend it :)
Clear up crew volunteers:-You will work from Monday 14th through to Wednesday 16th. You will have three meals per day ending with Wednesday evening. Your role will include packing down the event infrastructure, clearing litter and generally ensuring that we leave no trace!
Places on each of these teams is strictly limited!
First round APPLICATION DEADLINE April 30th 2017. We will endeavor to get back to you as sooner but will make sure our first round application decisions are made by May 14th. If you miss the first round you can still apply but you are less likely to get a position as some roles fill up fast.
