Performance, as reflected in your survey response, does not affect the score of your submission.

This survey serves as a tool to add broader context to your Green Schools Quest project. Material in this survey is directly related to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s school application for the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools award program which recognizes public and independent schools that reduce environmental impact and costs; improve the health and wellness of schools, students, and staff; and provide effective environmental and sustainability education.

This survey aims to build awareness of holistic measures you can take to chart a path towards whole-school sustainability, while also helping us to learn more about your school so that we may better support sustainability initiatives in your and other schools within our community.
This survey may be completed online via a Google Form (preferred) below or via paper form/PDF which may be uploaded along with your additional final submission materials in your Final Submission Form. The completed survey is due to USGBC-MGC by March 10, 2019.

Your team may know the answers to some questions off of the top of your head. Other questions may require a bit of investigation. Consider engaging additional members of your school community who might be able to better answer specific questions. Do your best to determine a ranking for each item – ranging on a scale from “No Evidence” to “Comprehensive” – or indicate “I don’t know.”

General guidance for ranking:

"No Evidence" - No action has been taken

"Emerging" - Initiative is in the beginning stages; planning is underway and/or one or two components have been implemented

"Creditable" - Initiative is well underway; much action has been taken towards implementation, though there is still some room for expansion

"Comprehensive" - Initiative is implemented to the fullest extent; complete; it's hard to imagine what more could be done

"I Don't Know" - Uncertain whether or not any action towards planning or implementation has taken place
